You guys have been requesting an easy lasagna recipe, so I took that idea and completely ran with it to make this ultra cheesy, ultra easy:
One Pot Lasagna Recipe.
It’s everything you LOVE about lasagna, but made ultra convenient, because youcook everything in one dish!
No pre-boiling noodles, no making separate layers, no dirtying one THOUSAND dishes . . .
It’s genius.
It’s genius, because I LOVE lasagna, but I never ever ever make it, because
well
I already told.
Pre-boiling noodles. Making the meat sauce. Making the cheese mixture. Assembling the layers. Dirtying a million dishes. THEN baking everything.
There’s definitely a time and a place for that
but today
is not one of those days. 😉
Instead, let me tell you about how EASY thisOne Pot Lasagna Recipe is.
You’ll start by cooking some sweet Italian sausage, ground beef, onion, garlic, and spices: basil, Italianseasoning, salt, and pepper in a large stockpot.
Once the meat is cooked through, you’ll stir in some crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, red wine, wine, and broken lasagna noodles.
Bring this to a simmer andsimmer for about 16 minutes, until the noodles are tender and the sauce has thickened.
Then you’ll stir in a whooooooole lotta cheese: mozzarella, parmesan, and ricotta.
That’s it!
I mean. Come OOOOOON. All those amazing lasagnaflavors made easy in one pot?
Gimme.
Gimme.
Gimme.
I will tell you, this One Pot Lasagna willNOT win any beauty awards. But if you really think about it, once “classic” lasagna comes out of the baking dish, it pretty much looks just like a pile of noodles of sauce anyway. 😉
I love that you still get all the lasagna flavors you love:Italian sausage, spices, tomatoes, red wine, and cheese, but made quicker, easier, and less messy in ONE pot!
One Pot Lasagna.
I’ll love you forever.

This looks amazing! I will be doing a lighter version with italian chicken sausage and lean ground beef. I wonder what you garnished it with at the end.. basil??
Reply
Jennifer @ Show Me the Yummy
Yes, basil! Enjoy! 🙂

Omg, this looks amazing! I’m going to make it today!!! I wonder what you garnished it with at the end… fresh basil or flat leaf parsley??
Reply
Jennifer @ Show Me the Yummy
Either would be great 🙂 I’m not a fan of parsley though, so I use basil!

How do you think this would taste with Gouda? Medium gouda is basically my favourite thing in the world to eat.

I think it would be amazing!! 🙂

If I had all of the ingredients except the lasagna noodles (right now I think I have 2 ingredients), would a different kind of pasta noodle work? Or would it be more of a lasagna soup otherwise?
Reply
Jennifer @ Show Me the Yummy
Hi Melanie! I think a different noodle – maybe bowtie – would work just fine! 🙂

Thanks! Also, I’m trying to eat healthier (cooking at home more regularly should theoretically help), so I was wondering if this would be considered under your Healthy, Healthy-ish, Middle of the Road, or Indulgent in your recipe checkbox list.
Jennifer @ Show Me the Yummy
I’d say this is more middle of the road – it’s not the WORST thing in the world, but definitely not healthy. If you’re looking to make this healthier, you could use ground turkey instead of the sausage/beef, eliminate some of the cheese, and use whole grain noodles! Here are some healthy/health-ish pizza/pasta recipes if you’re looking for more: I hope that helps! 🙂

I have gulped like around 10 times while reading this recipe. Less time less money and more tastier….What else do we want. A quality red wine with Lasagna the perfect combination. I loved it!!!!

Looks wonderful, but why red wine? What else could be used, I’m cooking for an elderly client that takes alot of meds.
Reply
Jennifer @ Show Me the Yummy
Red wine adds flavor 🙂 Feel free to replace with more water or both, although, you’ll probably need to adjust the seasonings a bit then.
Janet
looks so creamy too! Thank you, SMTY!
